病院では、入退院や病棟移動に伴い患者さんの入れ替えが頻繁に発生するため、患者識別（Patient Identification）や物品管理を目的とした個人名入りラベルの作成が日常業務として継続的に発生していました。
その運用において、ラベルプリンター用のテプラ純正ラベルカートリッジ（消耗品）を都度購入していましたが、文書管理・検体/薬剤・備品管理など用途が多岐にわたり、消耗品コスト（ランニングコスト）が増大。結果として、現場の運用を維持しながらTCO（総保有コスト）を圧縮する必要性が高まり、純正品に代わるリサイクル（再生）カートリッジを検討されていました。

弊社の提案と工夫T（To-Be / 改善施策）

当社では、使用済みの純正品カセットを回収し、カートリッジ筐体をリユース（再利用）したうえで、テープ部材を新品に交換して再生する巻き替え品（リマニュファクチャリング品）としてご提供しました。
また、医療現場では用途別・部署別での識別が求められるケースが多いため、白・透明といった標準色に加え、緑・青・赤・黄のカラーバリエーションを揃え、色分け運用（カラーコード管理）にも対応できる供給体制としました。

Challenge (As-Is)

Hospitals in Japan face frequent patient turnover due to admissions, discharges, and ward transfers. This creates ongoing demand for printed name labels used for patient identification and day-to-day asset/supply management.

In this case, the customer was purchasing OEM TEPRA label cartridges as consumables. Because labels were required across multiple workflows (document management, specimen/medication labeling, equipment/supply identification, etc.), running costs continued to rise. The customer needed to reduce TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) without disrupting operations, and therefore considered remanufactured label cartridges as an alternative.

Our Solution (To-Be)

SIS Partners collects used OEM cartridges and reuses the cartridge housing. We then replace the tape material with new tape and deliver them as remanufactured (rewound) cartridges.

To support hospital workflows that require clear identification by department or purpose, we prepared not only standard white and clear tapes, but also green, blue, red, and yellow—enabling color-coded operations.

From a quality standpoint, we use tape materials equivalent to OEM-grade tape for rewinding. This helps maintain adhesion even in low-temperature environments (e.g., labels applied to bottles stored in refrigerators/freezers). As a result, the customer could standardize labeling operations without switching between OEM and remanufactured products by use case—reducing onsite workload and improving operational consistency.
